Asleep In My Bed

My Dad is working nights for the next year
(Boo!)
so he is really tired when he gets home in the morning.
On Saturday we were playing on my bed and he fell asleep.
I let him stay there and I even came back a few
times to play on the bed while he was still asleep!

When I woke up from my nap on Sunday,
my Mom and Dad were there.
Boy was I happy to see them!!
Mom came in my room with a new baby
doll for me, she even came with her own bear,
just like my Bear!
I liked that.
Then my Dad came in with my baby sister Clare.
I was excited to meet her and kiss her.

I like when my Mom pats her back,
because I get to help with that!

3 plus 1 equals...... CLARE!

On January 16th,

Greg and I woke up and had a quick breakfast,

said goodbye to our Maddy Girl

and headed to the hospital.

Our last picture as a family of 3.

I was still dilated 2-3 when we got there at 7:30,

so they started the IV and then the pitocin.

My contractions were growing,

so I asked for the epidural.

That went really quick, except I still felt a lot of pain,

so he came back and changed

up the dosage I was getting.... much better after that!!

I almost felt nothing at all.

Greg got hungry and headed down

to grab something to eat,

telling me not to have her while he was gone.....

well, all of a sudden I was feeling pressure,

so the nurse checked and I was at 10!

We called Greg to get back up to the room,

luckily he was on his way already.

The doctor was on his way in as well,

so we were just waiting.

I told the nurse I felt different pressure

and she checked and told me not to push,

we needed the doctor!

He got there and 3 pushes later

our Sweet Clare was here!!

Clare's Sign

Last year my Mom and Dad made a
sign for my wall and they finished
Clare's sign this week and hung it up.
We are such lucky girls!

January 16th.... or sooner!

Greg, Maddy and I all went to the Dr.
this morning for our last visit!
Miss Clare is scheduled to be here
on Saturday, January 16th.... or sooner!
I am dilated 2-3 cm right now,
so he said I could go anytime.
I hope for all of us that she waits
(can you believe I am saying that?)
so that Greg doesn't have to miss any
of his training and can be at the
hospital the entire time with me.
