Clare Is ONE!!!!!!

I can't believe my baby is 1 (almost to the minute as I type this.)

Clare is such a joy for us and we are lucky to have her!!

I am still her favorite person, but Daddy is closing in on me very fast.

As soon as she hears the door or knows he is in the house/room,

all you hear is Papa, Papa, Papa!

So sweet!

The only other thing she says is Chasey, the cat.

No joke.

She actually said that before Papa and it hasn't changed once in

the way it comes out of her mouth.

Smart girl.

Clare has taken a few steps and just last night she started

standing on her own.

It's so cute to watch her let go and get her balance.

She is very proud of herself!

Clare has 8 teeth and hasn't had baby food in months.

She is on her last 1/3 of the container of formula and then

its straight milk for her!

We can't wait to celebrate her

birthday next weekend

with a small party!!

Greg had to head back up to Phoenix.

I lit a candle for Maddy to blow out for her...

Maddy got her big cozy chair for

her first birthday and loves it.

Now Clare loves it!!

She crawls over to it and climbs up

and gives her doll some hugs and pats

before she leans back and relaxes.

It's hilarious!!

Clare is also getting her own

chair for her birthday,

but we're waiting until we

move up to Phoenix to order it.

She will be excited when

there are two chairs!!

Mrs. Potato Head

Grammy got Maddy a potato head

with three additional change of clothes for

Christmas and Maddy dresses

her up all the time.

Sometimes she even carries

her like a baby.

Too funny!

Clare's First Haircut

Well, we finally broke down and

trimmed Clare's hair, two

days before her 1st birthday!

Her hair in the front was so long

and scragely so we did a little trim job.

Her bangs are a little short,

but they'll grow fast!!

Today Sarah and I drove up to

the snow on Mt. Lemmon with the girls!

There were no sleds,

so we used some laundry baskets,

sometimes they worked and

sometimes the did not!!

Also note the one doing all the

hard work is 6 months pregnant.

Clare's First Steps!!!

Clare took her first steps tonight!!!

She can stand on her own

(even though she won't do it...)

and walks so good on her walker and even

side by side with me only holding one hand,

but tonight she did it herself while we

were playing in Maddy's room....

she was heading for a bowling pin!!

Now I know what to use so

she does it again. Ha!

PS I took the video on on

our camcorder, but I don't know

how to upload that to the computer,

so I took a video of it with the Flip....

lame, but you get the point.
